Welcome to our home, our seas, our parks…and our hearts. We are Komodo Kayaking! From our base in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia – we invite you to join us on journeys through Komodo National Park and the nearby areas. We are an Indonesian company, fully staffed by a passionate team from the communities surrounding these islands. We welcome you to experience this amazing region and learn more about where dragons still roam.

We are here to share our seas with you. Stewardship of our Park is key to what we do – we care for our home and our goal is for you to experience and understand our pride in living here. Your safety, appreciation and warm memories are what we focus on.

Komodo Kayaking is the only Indonesian Kayaking company operating in the region, this is our home. We share our expertise, our experience and our passion. Rather than chasing the pumping adrenaline, or trying to challenge the limits of endurance…we want you savor the moments and enjoy. We are here to show you the Komodo National Park in ways that no one else can.

Kayaking through Komodo

We specialize in delivering amazing experiences, showing only what is truly authentic. Whether for a family, a couple on a romantic escape or a small group of friends, each journey is designed to connect and discover; to take pleasure in the little details that turn trips into stories they will remember forever.

As the sun sinks lower, we settle into cushioned seats on the deck with our friend, drinks in hand. Our boat glides slowly over gentle swells, miles from shore. Strings of lights flicker on as dusk deepens, casting a warm glow. We trade laughs and stories, soaking in the fading colors stretching across the darkening sky.

One by one, stars emerge while the last sliver of light disappears into the sea. We gaze upward, marveling at the expanse of glittering diamonds overhead. The soft lapping of waves and gentle rocking of the boat lulls us into tranquil comfort. We feel at peace, connecting with the vast sky and sea surrounding us.

Bellies satisfied and hearts full, we make our way to cozy berths as the boat continues its steady motion. We drift to sleep, dreaming of the stars still shining brightly outside our window.

Stewardship

This is our home – we do our best to help our communities, to purchase from local stores and farms, to find ways to preserve our unique park. There is more here than just a photo opportunity with a Komodo Dragon (but we still have those). There is history, community, delicate ecosystems and much more. See for yourself…

While the mesmerizing marine life is a highlight of our journey, no trip to the Komodo Islands would be complete without encountering the legendary Komodo Dragon. On Rinca Island, we’ll have the opportunity to witness these prehistoric creatures in their natural habitat. From their slow movements to their forked tongues flicking in and out, the Komodo Dragons are a true marvel to behold. These moments spent observing these incredible creatures will leave a lasting impression.

The days of our expedition are dedicated to immersing ourselves in the captivating environment of the Komodo Islands. We’ll paddle among the islands, discovering hidden beaches and snorkeling along pristine reefs just meters from the shore. Prepare to be amazed by the rich marine life that inhabits these waters—manta rays, dugongs, turtles, clownfish, and countless other aquatic marvels. With a snorkel and mask, you’ll uncover a vibrant underwater world that’s waiting to be explored.
