I went on the day trip paddle to Bidadari Island. Waters were calm and beautiful. Guide was fantastic…..showed us where the nice snorkelling spots were. A simple but delicious packed lunch with a soft drink was provided. Komodo Kayaking definitely met my expectations.
We recently booked the 6-hour kayak tour and had a fantastic time!
We expected a typical group tour with open kayaks and a guaranteed sunburn—but it was anything but. To our surprise, we had a private guide just for the two of us. The kayaks were professional, with leg covers, storage compartments, and even foot-operated steering, which made paddling much easier and more enjoyable. We were also provided with technical shirts, hats, and plenty of drinks.
Our guide, Fendi (hope I’m spelling that right!), made the day even better. He was friendly and informative—he explained the gear, chatted with us, took photos, showed us around, and set up lunch for us.
We stopped at a quiet beach to eat and snorkel. All the gear was provided, and the reef was stunning—full of vibrant coral and colorful fish.
We paddled about 11 km in total—just enough to feel like a workout without being too tiring. The calm water and cloudy skies (with a bit of rain) made it all the more enjoyable. Honestly, I can’t imagine doing it under full sun!
Very beautiful kayak ride. The guides were fabulous for our 7 person family. Definitely recommend but beware it is a reasonably strenuous paddle to finish the 6 hour kayak. The snorkeling at the beach was very relaxing as well.
Cool kayak tour!
My colleague and I did a kayak tour with Jho and had a lot of fun! We went around several small islands and our guide made an effort. We highly recommend the tour.
I had a spare time to kill and decided to join them. It ended up a beautiful experience. I hardly had an experience of kayaking, but the friendly staff helped me to keep going on the blue ocean. If you love nature, and want to see the ocean from the sea level, not from the ship, I recommend this activity in Komodo.
