Absolutely. The Komodo Islands, where we operate, are a relatively sheltered island group with infrequent large swells, making them well-suited to sea kayaking. Our professional sea kayaks are sleek, extremely stable, and equipped with standard safety features for long touring paddling.
All of our sea kayak guides are certified and from the local area, with extensive experience kayaking and working in wild places, which ensures solid risk management and emergency care. At least one guide will always accompany you on the water, and depending on group size we maintain a low guest-to-guide ratio.
There can be challenging conditions and currents in some areas, but they are well known to our team and easily managed through careful route planning. We also have a support boat on the water and radio contact with the Park Rangers office for added safety measures.

It’s not just good for your body, but also nourishes your soul. Sea-kayaking can transport you beyond civilization and into the enchanting realm where earth, sea, and sky converge.
No prior experience is needed to get started. As long as you’re in good health, feel reasonably comfortable on the water, and have a sense of adventure, you’ll quickly master the basic skills required to paddle and steer your kayak under the guidance of our certified local sea kayak guides.
Our team provides a thorough introductory lesson at the start of the journey and stays close throughout to support, coach, and keep an eye on everyone’s safety and enjoyment. To minimise our impact and keep the experience personal, we cap each group at a maximum of 14 guests, with a minimum of 2 guides on every departure.
